ECE Graduate Student Space Access
Access to shared graduate student space is via punch-code locks; see your professor’s administrative coordinator to find the code. (No deposit is required.)
ECE TCard Locks
Access to external doors in Galbraith, Sandford Fleming, and Bahen, and access to all internal offices in Bahen, is via TCard.
For questions about TCard access, email locks@ece.utoronto.ca, monitored Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Expect your access to take effect within 3 working days.

| MASc and PhD students | Automatically given access to building entrances and all standard rooms for their research group. For additional access, submit signed ECE Access Form to locks@ece.utoronto.ca (Standard rooms are listed on the form.) |
| Postdocs and visitors | Submit signed ECE Access Form to locks@ece.utoronto.ca. Access is valid up to the end date on the letter of offer. If an appointment or visit is extended, request an access extension. New postdocs who were formerly grad students must re-apply for access. |
| Teaching Assistants | Automatically given access to rooms according to a list provided by the Undergraduate Office. |
| MEng students | Automatically given access to building entrances and all rooms they require (M.Eng. Study Room, computer labs). For additional access, submit signed ECE Access Form to locks@ece.utoronto.ca (Standard rooms listed on form) |
| Visitors not eligible for a university-issued TCard | Obtain a loaner TCard (deposit $30) and submit signed ECE Access Form to locks@ece.utoronto.ca |

If you lose access
- Send email to locks@ece.utoronto.ca listing the doors to which you have lost access; if known, indicate when you last had access.
- Check the magnetic strip on your Tcard; if it is worn or scratched, have it replaced at the TCard Office at Robarts Library.
- You can have your card remagnetized at the Engineering Computing Facility office (ECF), Engineering Annex Building, 2nd floor.
ECE Key and Fob Access
- Key Access: ECE offices in Galbraith, Sandford Fleming, Engineering Annex, and Pratt.
- Fob access: external doors of Pratt and Wallberg, Myhal, bridge between Engineering Annex and Pratt, bridge between Sandford Fleming and Pratt, meeting rooms in Myhal.
The deposit for keys and fobs is $30 per key or fob. Please pay through the form below.
