The Get Started program

Get to know U of T Scarborough this June 2024 (in-person or online)!

Welcome to U of T Scarborough! Get Started is a program to help incoming undergraduate students with their course selection, answer questions about programs and services on campus, and help make sure you are confident and ready to thrive as you start your year. Once you’ve accepted your offer, you should start the process of selecting your courses. We’re here to help!

You’ll also get to explore the campus, meet people, and, most of all, feel confident in the steps to take before classes start

If you can't attend in person, an online session is the next best thing.

Parents and supporters are welcome to attend a program for them, held during your in-person Get Started session. You can register your parent or supporter when you register for Get Started

ACORN is the enrolment system that manages which courses you are enrolling in, as well as your fees.

Your ACORN login information is same as your JOINid (join.utoronto.ca) login.

Once you know which courses you want to take and have completed your course planner, you should log into ACORN and place those courses into your Enrolment Cart. This will allow you to enrol faster on your enrolment date, as well as see your courses and timetable.

Note: Some courses fill quickly, so it's important that you have them selected in your enrolment cart, and that you know your enrolment start time and log in on that date at that time.

You will be able to view your enrolment start time on ACORN prior to the start of registration, starting in June. You can find the specific date you will be able to see your enrolment time under the Fall 2024- Winter 2025 Academic Dates for the term into which you are enrolling. Once you know your date and time, plan to be online for your enrolment window.
