Activate Your UTORid

New students

You will require a Secret Activation Key (SAK) in order to activate your UTORid. This SAK would have been sent to you by email* after your online submission of your portrait photo and documents have been approved and accepted online, or it was provided to you by your registrar or another authorized U of T staff member. Visit tcard.utoronto.ca to learn more on the process of how to get your UTORid, UTmail+ and SAK.

  • Enter your JOINid + Secret Activation Key below, to activate your UTORid and UTmail+
  • Important: Once you create your UTmail+ account, it will replace the current email address you have in the U of T record system, and all new university communications will automatically be sent to your new U of T email address.

New faculty and staff

Your UTORid and Secret Activation Key can be found on the online services letter provided to you by Human Resources. Enter your UTORid and SAK below.

Others

Should go to UTORid Creation.

Please note: All your accounts should be under only one UTORid. To avoid future problems, please do not proceed to activate if you have been issued another UTORid in the past - active or not, and contact the person or department who issued you your UTORid.
