The 29th Annual Friends of Planning Spring Social, hosted by the Planning Alumni Committee (PAC) and the Department of Geography & Planning, took place on April 10, 2025. More than 300 alumni, faculty, and city builders gathered for an evening of meaningful connection and dialogue.
This year’s keynote presentation, "Housing Affordability: What Can Toronto Learn From Other Cities?" was moderated by Sabine Matheson and featured panelists Heather Tremain, Kennedy Stewart, and Rishab Mehan. The discussion examined pressing planning challenges and shared insights from leading voices in the field.
PAC is a non-profit volunteer organization composed of graduates from the Master of Science in Planning (MScPl) program who are dedicated to fostering community and advancing fundraising initiatives. Through mentorship, participation in student activities, and scholarship support, PAC plays a vital role in enriching the student experience.
Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, this year's event will help empower MScPl students to shape a more inclusive and sustainable future. We look forward to continuing the PAC tradition of spotlighting pivotal planning topics at our special 30th Anniversary Spring Social in 2026!
